Monkeys in the Rainforest

EWTC, an international travel agency, commissioned this pattern as part of a rebranding project. The brief was to capture the unique atmosphere of the Mauritian rainforest, celebrating its distinctive flora, fauna, and natural landscape.

Working closely with the designers at the German agency merkwürdig, we conducted extensive visual research into the island's ecosystems and native species.

As the artwork was intended to be reproduced primarily as line art, one of the key challenges was achieving a balanced relationship between filled shapes and contour lines. My goal was to create a dense, visually engaging pattern that retained clarity, rhythm, and depth while working within these technical constraints.
