KATYA (EKATERINA)
MURYSINA
Hi, I’m Katya, an artist and illustrator based in Berlin, Germany. I've been working professionally since 2016, creating illustrations and intricate seamless patterns that often blend surrealism and nature to build unique, dreamlike worlds. Inspired by the passage of time and natural elements, my work is focused on evoking emotions and presenting everyday things from a fresh, unexpected perspective.
I always immerse myself deeply into the themes of each project, seeking out the details that can transform a concept into something distinctive and memorable. Attention to detail is central to my process, whether I’m crafting intricate Wimmelbuch illustrations or developing seamless patterns that tell layered stories.
My experience spans a range of industries, including fashion, publishing, and advertising. Having started in the fashion industry, I’ve developed a strong focus on character design, paying special attention to how style and personality are conveyed through visual imagery.
I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with brands such as Adobe, Nike, LVMH, HarperCollins Publishing, Common Thread, GQ, Esquire, Vogue, and The Blueprint, among others. Alongside my commercial work, I also maintain an artistic practice, creating paintings and graphic works in oils, charcoal, and pencils that explore memory, reality, and the human experience.
My goal is always to create art that sparks emotion and invites people into new, unique worlds. You can explore more of my artistic works and projects here.
