Katerina Murysina is a visual artist born in Saint Petersburg, Russia. She currently lives and works in Berlin, Germany.
She studied design, animation, and illustration. Until 2021, she worked at the intersection of design and art, creating installations, art objects, and commissioned illustration. She is currently focused on her independent artistic practice, working primarily with oil painting and drawing.
Her work is centered on transitional states, from inner emotional experiences to processes of aging and decay. Through painting and drawing, she explores the tension between constant change and stillness.
